RoSHE Ventures

The generational stories on my mom's side - particularly my grandmothers and great-grandmothers stories inspire me. They speak of how girls are discouraged to follow a STEM trajectory. My own travels to Romania and discussions with my cousins reinforced this perspective on girls being advised for "women suited" careers. This choice in career path is very often made by the family when a student transitions to high school. These high schools have set profiles and majors that then limit a student's choice once enrolled. It's critical for young girls to understand that they have opportunities in STEM from a very young age. That is where RoSHE Ventures will intervene.

Mission

RoSHE Ventures aims to challenge this gendered perspective on what girls can accomplish as educational goals for themselves. Thus, it is our mission to develop curricula that empowers, encourages, and inspires Romanian girls' education in STEM.
